Default Help O/Express Recovery from external Drive

Hi Jim,

I had searched the drive for files with DBX extensions, and all I could find
were outdated mail files he had set up for a 2nd O/Express account 4 years
ago. Until the drive "died", he was a frequent user of O/Express under his
own name.

Could these files be "hidden" or buried w/in Windows?

Search the slave drive for files ending with the extension of DBX. Copy
all of those files to a CD/DVD and he can then copy them to his new setup
and clear the Read-Only attribute that is set when a file is copied to a
CD/DVD and import them directly into Outlook Express using
File/Import/Messages.......

A friend's HD was diagnosed as "dead". However, after a period of time,
I'm now able to run it within a USB enclosure externally as a slave. .

Have been able to recover pretty much everything for him except his
Outlook Express emails, attachments, and address book.

I'm running O/Express as my email client and know how to backup my own
stuff, but can't figure out how to find his stuff and put it on a DVD for
him.

Any help would be very appreciated.
