Default OE 6 vs. Norton

Been running fine with Norton 2003 (Internet security and system works).

Now I've finally updated to NSW 2006 and NIS 2006.

The last, best Norton product was released in the late '90s, or whenever
it was that Symantec bought Norton products. The last Norton product I
installed on my computer was Norton SystemWorks 2003. I booted the
"Norton System Doctor" after finding it screwing over the system. I
booted the "Norton Anti Virus" when Norton started nagging me to upgrade
to "Norton Anti Virus 2004". I won't let anybody I know install Norton
anything. I recommend Grisoft AVG Free for now. I am eventually going to
load Avast anti virus for evaluation.

The license agreement for both is limited to household use. Non-profit
and profit organizations need to check with the respective sites to get
products with a proper license agreement.

I concur with Bruce Hagen: Get rid of Norton. Don't even think about
McAfee (tried them 6 years ago; bad as Norton).
