network drive, that's fine. However, how big are they, and do your users
regularly delete items & compact the PST files? IF you do so, does this

It's a windows 2000 TS
2gb Memory
dual 2ghz xeon processors
RAID 1 (c and d partitions) (2 hard drives total 35gb each)
RAID 5 (f drive) (3 hard drives total 35gb each)

there are generally about 25 users online at any given time during
the day, cpu usage is usually about 8 - 15% and memory usuage is
usually about 40%. However this problem isn't limited to during the
day .. it can happen when one user is online late at night remotely.

I would probably want way more memory than that with 25 simultaneous users.
Can you reproduce the problem?

Sure you can't get Exchange? PST files are de debbil.

No, they're just pop3 accounts running on a windows 2000 terminal
server. at first i thought maybe it was a problem with the file size
of the PST .. but there is such a variance in size between users ..
it's even happening to new users that I create .. I've tried running
a repair on outlook but it hasn't done anything.

Where are the PST files located? They need to be on the C drive of
the TS box, note - MS doesn't support accessing PST files across a
LAN/WAN connection. How many users are logging in simultaneously
when this happens? What are the hardware specs of the TS box itself?
