outgoing mail issue

Hi Adam,
What happens when you try to send? Any error messages? (Please post them in
their entirety).
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes
for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Account: 'pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com', Server:
'smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No,
Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F
Do sent messages show in the Sent Items folder? Is your
anti-virus program set to scan e-mail? Turn it off.
Failed sends stay in the outbox folder. I tried turning off both
firewall and virus programs and no help.
Windows Version?
OE Version? OE | Help | About. What numbers show for msoe.dll?
Windows is xp home edition version 2002 service pack 2. Computer is HP
pavilion. OE is 6.00.2900.2180. msoe.dll is 6.00.2900.2869.
Any other info you can provide world be helpful.
It used to work but she doesnt send alot of emails so is not sure how
long its been broken. Maybe a month. At one point she thought it
fixed because she was able to reply to an email from me, but since then
it has not worked. Cant figure what was different that one occurence.
She has a wireless connection from her office to mine (where the modem
is located) but I cant think that is the problem as again she can
recieve emails but just not send. I checked default mail program and
curiously it was set to outlook instead of outlood express, but
changing that did not fix it. Tried system restore all the way back to
july 4 and that did not fix it. Windows update has been run. Used
ad-aware and spybot to check if there were mal-ware installed. They
found a few questionable items, but nothing serious. Deleted those.
