If you copy the correct file, all the data will remain intact, including
Contacts.

I am running Office 2003 SP2 on two PC's.

I read a post about exporting contacts & it was suggested that using
'export' was not a good idea. When I tried to export contacts to a pst
file,
upon opening the file, it was empty apart from 'deleted items' & 'search'.

I then copied the 'outlook.pst' file from one PC to anoth, renamed the
file
& opened it in Outlook. All the folders/files were there except Contacts.

Has anyone got any suggestions on how to backup or copy Contacts?
