Try re-registering these dlls:

Start | Run | type, or Copy/Paste, these in one at a time and try again.
(Note the space in each command).

regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Shell32.dll
regsvr32 actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 urlmon.dll

In IE, go to: ToolsInternet OptionsPrograms. Click: Reset Web Settings -
(uncheck box for homepage) - Click Yes.

Both NONEs are the exaclty the same as you have listed below.
But it doesn't work. so I unchecked DDE on both..
Still doesn't work..
When I went back to check DDE was still checked and I made sure OKed but
no luck, the DDE is still checked.
What's teh next step?

Windows Explorer, not Internet Explorer. (Or the Control Panel).

Provided you are not using IE7:

From:
http://www.fjsmjs.com/OE/nolinks.htm

If nothing happens when you click a link:
Open Windows Explorer.
Go to Tools | Folder Options | File Types.
Scroll down to [NONE] URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol (NOT
URL:Internet Shortcut) and select it.
Click Edit or Advanced, depending on your Windows version.
Select 'open'.
Click Edit.

"Application used to perform this action" should read:

"C:\PROGRAM FILES\INTERNET EXPLORER\iexplore.exe" -nohome (Check the
path to iexplore.exe to make sure that is correct and use the double
quotes.)

DDE should be checked and in the boxes below it you should have:

#1:
"%1",,-1,0,,,,
#2
IExplore
#3 (blank)

#4
WWW_OpenURL

URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol with Privacy should be the same.

Sometimes it is necessary to uncheck Use DDE.

When I get an email with a URL and click on it, it no longer comes up
as a web site, it used to. What do I need to do to get this to work
like it used to. I now have to copy the URL and paste it into the
address bar.
tnx
Hank
