Go to File | Identities and set up a new Identity.
Make sure you see points 2 and 3 here when doing so:
www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx
Then add the accounts and make sure its working okay. If so, then you can
use File | Import | Messages to get the messages out of the old identity,
and if needed use one of the utilities mentioned in point 4 on that page.

I've got a friend's PC, and whenever he tries to open emails he gets an
error that OE is unable to open the message. He's running on XP SP2.
It's the Brazilian version, so the exact message is in Portuguese and goes
something like this:
"Ocorreu um error ao ser aberta esta mensagem.
Erro."
Basically this translates to:
"An error occured opening this message.
Error."
Any ideas what I can try?
I've already uninstalled and reinstalled OE.
