Default OE Identities

Hello Bruce:

I will look at these options, but I think this will not provide a
solution since my father's OE setup did not have an Identity
password when first setup. And I am pretty sure he would be unable
to change this himself!!

When I mentioned that my mother and father have separate login
accounts and email accounts, they each use their own login and
password at the Windows logon screen (CTRL-ALT-DEL), and only their
own email account is setup in their OE account.

For example, my mother presses CTRL-ALT-DEL, input her Windows login
(i.e.: mom) and it's account password. If she wants to get her
email, OE is setup with her ISP info for say . My father
also starts windows with CTRL-ALT-DEL, and inputs user "dad" and
it's account password. His OE account used his ISP account info
(i.e.:
).

Thank you for your input.

Mark

Since this is a little vague, I will provide some options.
Hopefully, one will help.

By each having their own logon account, is this for the bouts
Welcome Screen, or an OE logon?

For the OE logon password:

Your ISP should be able to tell you, or see this site for a tool
to retrieve your e-mail account password:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/mailpv.html

For an identity password:

Hello all:

I am hoping someone will have suggestions for something being
experienced with my parents PC. I will describe this as best I
can since I have not see it for myself and I am getting
descriptions from very, very, novice users.

My parents have Win2k Pro. Each one has their own login account,
and their own email account. My mother's IE and OE work fine.
My father can launch IE fine. However, when he launches OE, it
starts as though the Identity setup has been lost. When I try
and guide him thru selecting Managing Identity, and have him
choose New, the setup does not save.

I am wondering what might have effected this, and also wondering
what might be done to correct this. Please let me know. Any
suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.

Mark
