Keyboard Shortcut Problem - OE/IE6

My wife uses a notebook with a relatively compact keyboard. When she gets
going fast, she sometimes mysteriously would find her letter disappeared
and turned up in the "sent" folder, containing the text as of the moment
it disappeared.
We figured out that she apparently was pressing the Alt key (of which
there are two immediately adjacent to the left and right of the spacebar)
while typing an "S". The quick keys (and a short test) indicate that
Alt-S = Send Now.
This happens often enough that she's at the point of getting rid of either
the notebook, or possibly me.
I have a utility which would let me disable or even reassign the Alt
key(s). But since they're used for a lot of other things in other
programs, what I'd rather do, if it's possible, is to disable the OE Alt-S
command only.
Is this possible?
I do not know of a way to do that.
But :-)
You can change the sending behaviour of OE, @ Toolsoptionssend, disable
'send messages immediately'. Any inadvertent keystroke would then put the
message in the outbox until auto send picks in, which can also be disabled
on the general tab. (just in case they occur simultaneously?)
The message in the outbox can then be moved to your inbox, via (rt click
menu), double click it there and continue composing.
All mail will remain in the outbox until you hit the send & receive button.
Have fun, I hope she lets you stay?
