Default created contact is seen in contacts folder but not in distribution list's member selection

The Outlook Address Book only shows contacts with resolved electronic addresses (email or fax). My guess is that whatever technique you're using (and "MAPI" covers a lot of different ones) is not actually resolving the addresses. If you open the contacts, you should be able to correct that.

hello,
i have used MAPI to create a contact using CreateMessage..it was
successfully included under my contacts folder. when i use MAPI to
include this new contact in a distribution list, it was successfully
included as well. however, when i use Outlook, and then select any
distribution list..and then choose "select members.." button..and then
choose "Contacts" from "show names from the" drop down list, I can not
see the contacts i have created using MAPI...what am i doing wrong
here? thanks!
also, when i look at the properties of a contact created using Outlook
and compare it to a contact created using MAPI, i can't see any
difference that may point to the problem...i hope someone can help me
with this...thanks!
