Customize the user properties dialog in Outlook 2007
Hi fellows,
I want to customize the dialog box that appears when you double click any entry in the address box dialog in outlook 2007. I searched the web with many saerch keys but no luck. The dialog box seems to show the properties of an ExchangeUser object. If anyone has Windows Live Messenger installed he will find the Actions button customized with 2 new items in the drop down action list. I think VSTO is the best way to go but I do not know where to start Appreciate any hints Thanks |

You cannot customize the display of the Outlook address book.

Hi,
If "the dialog box" is a contact form, then you can customize it in two ways: you can customize its Ribbon UI and/or you can embed a custom .NET form into the Contact Inspector window. The latter functionslity is provided by Add-in Express 2007 for .NET and Add-in Express 2007 for VSTO. See the second screenshot at http://www.add-in-express.com/outloo...sion/index.php. This is an animated GIF, so please give it a chance to show an Inspector window. It's a mail message Inspector, however this approach works also with contact, task, appointment etc Inspectors.
