what are named properties ? How are they different from user properties ? thanks |

In the context of your question, "named properties" are properties that are largely (but not always) invisible to the user and accessible only through low-level APIs such as Extended MAPI, CDO 1.21, and Redemption.

To expand more on this, user properties *are* named properties, but Outlook
can see them in the UserProperties collection because their definitions are stored in yet another named property.
