SmartTags within a mail message
Note: This post may be better in a Word programming forum but I figured I
would start here. Our Outlook addin calls Word.Document.RecheckSmartTags within the Item_Send event. On a few customer installs, we have had reports that Outlook hangs on this call. The status bar of the compose mail windows says something about "Checking SmartTags, hit Esc to cancel". Hitting Esc does nothing and the user is forced to kill Outlook. Unfortunately, we do not have a lot to go on. We can not duplicate this in our test environment and it is not easily reproduced at the customers' sites. Does anyone have any ideas why this would happen? Thank you, Benjamin Strum ThinkTron Corporation http://www.thinktron.com |
