Default Reoccuring appointments that will not delete.

I have an appointment in the calendar that continues to pop up and will not
delete. It says it is unresolved when I sync the desktop to the HP IPAC.It is
a reoccurring appt. When I click on it the screen says that there is a
problem in the parameter values. When I search for the appt. on the desktop
or HP IPAC. It says the appt. does not exist. please help.
