How do I end ongoing mtgs that were deleted from my Outlook?

I created meetings in Out Look over a year ago. I changed responsibilities.
While cleaning up my Out Look, I deleted all of my on-going messages. Those
who were invited to the meetings still get meeting notices. How can this be
stopped?
