Default is this default behavior for Delegates?

Hi,

We are experiencing some strange goings on with delegates creating or
updating appointments, sometimes making updates to these appointments and
getting error messages.

This is the scenario. A manager creates an appointment and invites a
resource (using direct booking). The resource is booked automatically and
confirmed. the manager can continue to make changes to the meeting and send
updates, which works fine. Then, say, the delegate of the manager makes a
change to that meeting, such as a time change and sends an update the
meeting, it gets updated ok. By doing this the manager is then unable to
update the meeting any further. The manager see's a message which is
identical to this one http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299590/en-us.

Why does it work fine for the manager to update his/her own appointments
until the delegate gets their hands on it? the meeting organizer always shows
as the mangager throughout and never changes to the delegate.

Is this behavoir by default or is something wierd going on?

Thanks

Mike.
