Favorite Folders

Why after I follow the steps in Adding a folder to favorite folders, does it
not stay in Favorite Folders when I restart Outlook? They are all top level
folders, not subfolders. Also, why does the Journal Button disappear and have
to be reselected each time I restart Outlook?

if outlook does not close cleanly, the favorites list is not saved. Next
time you close outlook look in the task manager to see if outlook.exe is
still running. If so, figure out what program is keeping it open.

Favorite Folders

After a clean close items still did not stay. Web search revealed a problem
with add-ons interfering with favorites folder. Specifically the BCM. Your
thoughts?

How do you decipher which program keeps Outlook open?
Thank you. This does help.
