User's free/busy not showing for some random appointments.
Hi,
I am also experiencing a problem with one user's free/busy publishing. We have over 1000 users all using Outlook 2003 SP2, with Exchange 2000. One user has a bunch of meeting appointments in his calendar (a mix of appointments and all-day events, some setup by him inviting others, and the rest are invitations from others). Some of the appointments, despite being marked as busy, do not show when you are scheduling and appointment with the user. I'm not sure how extensive this problem is, but I'd guess at nearly a 1/3rd of all appointments are not showing any free/busy information when in the scheduling and viewing this users calendar. I have managed to fix this problem on an individual basis, by opening a meeting appointment, changing the "show time as" to "free" and saving the changes. Then opening the same appointment again and changing the "show time as" back to "busy" and saving. This refreshes the free/busy for that meeting and it shows in the scheduling tab. However, if I then run outlook.exe /cleanfreebusy it removes the free/busy information which just appeared for this appointment!. I don't want to have to update all the meetings for this user manually. The knock on effect is that appointments which don't show the free/busy information also don't make a date bold in the calendar navigator. Could an update or Outlook fix resolve this issue? it's strange how it's only happening to one person in our large organisation (as far as we know anyway!) Does anyone have any suggestions? Cheers Mike. |
