Default How do I share a sub-calendar?

To access a shared folder that isn't one of the folders listed on the File | Open | Other User's Folder dialog, the mailbox owner needs to grant "folder visible" permission to the root of the mailbox and any other parent folders of the shared folder, as well as appropriate permission -- at least Reviewer -- on the shared folder itself.

The user who needs access then goes into Tools | E-mail Accounts or Tools | Services (depending on the Outlook version), brings up the properties for the Exchange Server service, and on the Advanced tab, adds the mailbox.

For more information on folder permissions, with how-to screen shots, see http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/permissions.htm and http://office.microsoft.com/assistan...HA011134811033

Sue,

You addressed how to share a sub folder, but not a sub calendar. How do you
share a sub calendar when Outlook only displays the primary/default calendar
instead of other created calendars?

You didn't say what version of Outlook you're using but you should be
able to right-click the sub-calendar (which is really just a sub-folder)
and go to Properties to access its permissions.

Default How do I share a sub-calendar?

I am using Outlook 2007 BCM.

I am not using Exchange Server and don't know much about that. Maybe I need
to and would be interested in learning about that. But I have had the
impression that I can't use Exchange Server since I had to set up Outlook for
use with my Hushmail account and that required IMAP. So, please correct me
if I am wrong.

BUT MY ACTUAL QUESTION IS: without using Exchange Server, it appears that
publishing my calendar is something I can only do with my main calendar and
not with a sub calendar. Is that correct? I would like to publish just a
sub-calendar.

You can publish your subcalendar to office online. Do you get errors when
you try?

You cannot use the methods listed below - they are for exchange server only.

you're using the office online site, correct? The proper way to share
exchange server sub-calendars is by giving proper permissions then the
recipient opens the mailbox in their profile.

Default How do I share a sub-calendar?

I have right clicked on my sub-calendar, selected the people I wanted to
share the sub-calendar and sent the email. They can only open my default
calendar, not the new sub-calendar. How to I let them look at the new one? I
have given them all permission to at least view it, some even have permission
to edit it but they still can't find it to open.
