I used the Auto-Archive feature unaware that this also archives my Calendar.
How can I get those appointments back onto my calendar? My time is audited for funding purposes and now it looks like I've done nothing for half of the fiscal year. =/ |

Open your archive .pst file and display the calendar folder in a by category view. Select all, right click and drag to the current calendar FOLDER. Release the mouse and select move or copy.

If your archive PST is not already open in your mail profile, then open it with FileOpenOutlook Data File. Once you have opened it, select the Calendar folder, then click ViewArrange ByCurrent ViewBy Category (for Outlok 2002/3) or add the Advanced toolbar and just select "By Category" in the View drop-down. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

Could you please give me a step by step of how to view/print and possibly reinstate my Archived Calendar data? I have lost all history for 2009 and this was my only calendar. I have gone ahead and chosen to prevent Auto Archiving from running on my Calendar Folder. By doing this will Outlook retain historical data until I physically delete it? Scuff |

Outlook never deletes anything unless you tell it to do so or have configured it to do so. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
