I recently upgraded from OL2002 to OL2007, then downgraded back to
OL2002. Now, whenever I open Outlook, the calendar comes up with out the Date Navigator. I can get it back by moving the marginal line between the months and the task pad. But it used to be (before my upgrade/ downgrade) that the Date Navigator would persist - it would always be there when I opened the calendar. How can I get it to "stick" again? Thanks. |

When you "downgraded", did you start with a new mail profile? Outlook 2002 doesn't have the Navigation Pane. It uses the Outlook Bar. Try restarting Outlook once with the /ResetOutlookBar command switch. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] Brian, Sorry, my message must have been unclear. What I meant was: 1) I originally had OL2002 set up so that the when I viewed the calendar, it had the day's details on the left, the TaskPad on the lower right, and the date navigator on the upper right. Whenever I started OL and opened a calendar window, it would always appear this way. 2) I upgraded to OL2007, tested it for a while, decided I preferred OL2002. So I uninstalled OL2007, then did a clean install (from the original CD) of OL2002. 3) Now when I start OL2002 and open a calendar window, I get the day on the left and the taskpad on the right. Now matter how many times I make the date navigator visible, if I close OL and the start it again, the calendar window reverts to the view in which the navigator is not visible. Per your suggestion, I did /ResetOutlookBar, but since the Outlook Bar is not visible in my view, it didn't help. I have also done / cleanviews, but it didn't help either. Thanks. |

Delete the hidden file %AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook\outcmd.dat. Create a new mail profile, if that doesn't work. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] Brian I tried both. Also tried creating a new .pst. But the date navigator is still not persisting. Any other ideas? Thanks. |

How are you "making the Date Navigator visible" before it goes away again? -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] Grabbing the divider between the Date Navigator and the Taskpad and dragging down until one row of months is visible. |
