problems when printing in month view

I am trying to create a calendar that is for my personal use. I want the
calendar entries to recur every year, with no end date. When I enter the
information I want to appear when I print in month view, text is cut off
after approximately 20 characters. Some of my entries are almost double that
length. I see that I can stretch my entry to span over several days
(horizontally), but I can't stretch the entry vertically, to allow my entire
entry to appear. Is this possible? If not, my calendar will be of no value
to me. :(
