how can i name a calendar in outlook or works 2007?
The old Works calendar used to allow you to name or label a calendar; in
Works 2007 and Outlook 2007 I can't find anything to allow me to do this. This was a great feature for tracking multiple calendars. Any suggestions? |

Thanks for the prompt response. I know I can create new folders, but the
name of the folder doesn't appear on the calendar, which is what I want. All it shows is "My Calendar (1)" no matter what I name the folder. I want it to show "David's Calendar" or whatever. I don't want to hijack the thread but I've had the same problem, when sharing
calendars, some show the name of the calendar, some show the word calendar Regards Diane "Diane Poremsky" wrote: Where are you seeing Calendar (1)? That is a different issue (or the original person is not explaining her
problem correctly). Using outlook 2003, when you add someone else's calendar to your outlook it may say just Calendar or their name. It depends on how you add it - Open Shared calendar uses Calendar, adding it as a secondary mailbox to your profile adds their name. Outlook 2007 should use the mailbox name either way - shared calendar use just the name, secondary mailbox calendars say "Calendar in mailbox - name". If you have 2007 and this is not happening, make sure you have all the latest updates installed. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "DianeG" wrote in message ... I have all the updates and even though I save the calendar as "David's
Calendar" when I open it it is labelled "Calendar (1)" on the tab. I'm not sharing calendars.
