Outlook 2007 shows 5 or 6 depending on the length of the week. To show a
block of 4 weeks, select 4 weeks in the date navigator.

Is there a method I can adjust this permanetly though - I thought this would
be a pretty basic user request?!

Thanks!

Default Change 6 week mthly view to 4 to show more appointments - 2007

This is EXACTLY what's been driving me bonkers! I want to open Outlook and
have it default to a 3-week display. Every time I open Outlook, I have to
change to Calendar view (it opens in Mail view) and then select the three
weeks. Sometimes, after I've selected that 3-week view, it automatically
goes back to its default 5-week view and I have to select back to the 3-week
- very annoying! I'd also love to get a solution to this - how to customize
my default view. Kathi

Can't help you selecting a 3-week preview. I can tell you how to choose and
select the the display when Outlook is started and opened. Open Outlook. On
the Menu Bar Select Tools to get its drop down list. Select Options. The
Options box opens. Select the Other tab on the at the top of the Options
box. In the top pane named General, Select Advanced Options on the top
right side of the box. At the top see the General Settings pane. The first
line in General Settings allows the user to Startup Outlook in a specific
folder. Click the Browse button. Select Calender. Click OK to save your
setting, that box closes. Click OK OK to close the remaining two open
boxes. Close and restart Outlook. It should open in Calender.

Default Change 6 week mthly view to 4 to show more appointments - 2007

Thank you so much for the help with part of my problem. I understand I can't
change the preview default, although I happen to think the 3-week view is
perfect, IMHO. It allows you to look at your current week, what you still
have pending from last week, and what you've got coming up next week - how I
believe most business people operate on a day-to-day basis. Also, the 3-week
view lets you look at 8 appointments per day, as opposed to only 4
appointments per day in the default 5-week view.

I am happy it worked for you. I agree with your idea about a 3-week view.
What bothers me more is the it can't be done reply some folks give. Yes,
everthing at the moment has it limits, but success in any endeavor is not
supported by an attitude of it can not be done. Personally, I am going to
continue to play with it and see what happens. Good luck.
