Outlook 2007 Calendar and Meeting Reminders
I have a slightly non-standard setup - I'm running Outlook 2007 in an
Exchange environment. My "primary" Inbox runs via my company and is setup on our Exchange server and cached locally on my PC. BUT, I also have a second ..pst file with my personal POP3 email - which comes in thru my primary inbox and via Outlook Rules is directed to my Inbox on my local .pst file. I use my Exchange calender exclusively, but I do periodically backup / copy this calendar to the calendar folder on my local .pst file. This gives me a backup in case something happens to my primary calendar (also do this for my contacts). The problem is that my Tasks and Meeting Reminders show up in duplicate every time an event is 15 minutes out. It's not a problem, just a little annoying. Is there any way to tell Outlook to suppress the events in my "secondary / backup" calendar on my local .pst file? (hope I explained this OK). I'm more of an Outlook Power User and haven't been able to figger this out. |

With Outlook 2007, no rule is needed. You can set the Inbox for each account separately. I haven't played with reminders much in my copy of Outlook 2007, but prior to that version, reminders fire only from the delivery location folders. I'm not aware that's changed in Outlook 2007. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
