Default Monthly Calendar View Shows Yellow Shortcut instead of Appointment

Using Outlook XP SP3, the monthly calendar view used to display a single line
item for each appointment on any given day. Now it shows some of the
appointments (2 or 3) and a little yellow button with an ellipsis that when
clicked takes you to the Day View of the calendar where you can see the rest
of the appointments for that day. How do you set it back so that you don't
see the yellow button, just the appointments? Thanks so much for your
assistance!
Greg
PS. We're running Windows XP.
