Quickly filling in the calendar with multiple dates
Hello there
I work as a paramedic and my schedule is just all over the place! I rely on outlook to organize my month as well as the pocket pc version. However, as I work 7 - 7 various days of the week the recurrence option on outlook does not do what I need it to do. Therefore my request is for an easy answer to this problem... how can I insert multiple dates into outlook with shifts that run from seven to seven? I did pick up an answer on another thread on this site but I find that in the month view I have three times on the same day and it just looks messy! Surely I am not the only person that needs this option? I have spent hours trying to find a solution! Regards Ritchie |
Quickly filling in the calendar with multiple dates
Sadly, Outlook does not handle shift work easily nor is there an in-built
method for doing so. There are 2 options: First, you can set up one shift and then use the right click, drag and drop to copy them to the dates in the Date Navigator that reflects the days that you will be working. A bit cumbersome but it works. The second is to look into WS Repeat Appointment that will allow you to schedule non-consecutive appointments that recur without a recognizable pattern. I have used this with great success for those occasions where I need to schedule recurring meetings without a normal recurrence pattern. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact.
