stop appointment alarms

All of a sudden, when I start Outlook, I get hundreds of alarms popping up.
When the total gets to over 500 the computer locks up.
Anyone have any ideas how I can fix this?

Hi,
I am having the same problem as you with my outlook. I can tell you what I
know but I haven't found a soulution. Please let me know if you do.

Back at the end of January I noticed in my february calendar that their were
multiple listings on February 18th. They all just stated the number 1. When
I tried to delete one there were always more. It seemed like an infinite
number. I tried to delete them all but couldn't. When February 18th
happened you can guess that the pop-ups started as soon as I turned Outlook
on. I gave it a week and they didn't go away. It is almost a month now and
they are still going off. I have started using the Hotmail calendar, but I
don't like it. Luckily I don't use Outlook for my e-mail. I uninstalled and
reinstalled Microsoft Office, but all of my appointments were still there. I
was looking up troubleshooting on their website and that led me to you.
Please let me know if you find a solution. Is it a Virus? It sure is
cripling me like one.

Good Luck,

Terri Fritz

Try starting Outlook once with the /cleanreminders command line switch.
