I am looking to move from palm/outlook to Blackberry. I use outlook as my
calendar for both personal and work. I use the category function on the
calendar to be able to view personal calendar or work calendar view.

Does anyone use this feature within outlook and how does it perform in the
blackberry environment?

In Contacts and Tasks there is an option to go to Menu then select Filter
which enables you to Filter by your Outlook Categories.

I'm fairly confident you cannot Filter Calendar items on your BB. I'm
conversant will all BB models except the Storm

Thank you for your response. I know how to use the category function on the
outlook side. I use this feature a lot in a print medium. I want to feel
comfortable knowing that BB doesn't strip it off when I sync.

Hi Shannon
You'll find your Outlook Categories automatically synch with your BB.
There'll be accessable via the Filter function though as I indicated I don't
think you can view your Calendar items via the filter.

Cheers
