Calendar Reminders

I recently upgraded from 2003 to 2007. Now, every time I make an entry in my
Calendar a reminder pops up with the entry info. It used to recognize the
difference between and appointment a regular entry. How do I edit my
reminders to only pop up when an appointment is pending?
