I have linked appointments on calender with contacts but it does not show in
activities for that contact? how should or can I link them.

This is outlook 2007 ... not sure what you mean by main calender. Its the one
that comes up when I click calender on the opening outlook page. thanks

Default ativities/calender

The link between Calendar items and Contacts is turned off in 2007 - but can
be turned on.

Tools | Options |Contact Options | Turn on Linking.
