Update to recurring meeting is out of date
Hello group,
For the record: I have searched the web before I ask my question. Searching this group for a relevant keyword gave me 8 pages of results, and I opened all search results. None gave me a working solution. Our working environment: Exchange 2003 Outlook 2003 The problem: Alice made a weekly meeting in june 2008, and invited Bob. Bob accepted the invitation in june 2008. On several occasions did Alice change an occurence of the weekly meeting: other location, moved from wednesday to thursday, etc... Bob accepted these exceptions to the weekly meetings. Today, Alice moved one of the weekly meetings to another day. Bob got the changed meeting request. In the header he sees "This request is out of date." When he clicks "Accept" to accept the one time change to the weekly meeting, he gets a warning message "You have received a more recent update to this meeting. Responding to this request will result in out- of-date information on your calendar. Are you sure you want to respond to this meeting?" Bob is not sure what he should do now, so he called me, but I didn't know either, so I ask this group. You can see a screenshot of the warning message on my Flickr account: http://www.flickr.com/photos/amedee_...7617689000447/ Some of the text is in Dutch, but because we have a MUI, I have changed the Office language to English to make troubleshooting easier. Kind regards, Amedee |

I'm already getting emails from people asking me if I ever found a solution. Too bad that they just don't contribute here... just a simple "I have the same problem, this is my environment, this is what I tried" would be enough. Please people don't mail me on my gmail address, I read that perhaps once per month. Reply to the newsgroup, or use the Google interface if you are afraid of Usenet. Amedee |
