Meg - just letting you know that you are not alone. I'm tech support for a
school and one of the administratorsreceived the message:
"There was a problem reading one or more of your reminders. Some reminders
may not appear. Cannot locate reference information for this appointment"
All that I benefitted from this notice is that we are dealing with a
recurring appointment. I had the user delete and re-create the only recurring
appointment that we could find. The nex time that Outlook was opened the same
error message appeared.
As a side note, there seems to be a message receive error when closing
Outlook as well, but we are tackling one issue at a time and see no
connection.

So - if anybody has more information then please feel generous with your
wisdom.

Cheers,

MK

Try the /cleanreminders startup switch and see if that helps.

No luck - although it did seem to help clear out 11 entries. The next step
that I read about is saving, deleting, and restoring the calendar ... it
sounds like a high-risk choice.

My final solution is in:

The calendar was exported to a ".csv" file.
Next all appointments were deleted (View - arrange by - current view - by
category - collarse all - delete)
Outlook was closed and reopened, there was an application hang upon closing
The calendar was imported from the ".csv" file

Final result: All appointments were restored, with reminders. All recurring
events became single events.

The end user is now happy.
