cancelled message still reminding me .......and recipients too

I have a user here that had a recurring meeting set for quite a while.... he
cancelled the recurring meeting, but still get reminded of this meeting even
though it is not in his calendar ... receipeints are receiving the reminder
too

any ideas?

Did you restart outlook using the /cleanreminders switch?
