I have Windows7 OS.
I upgraded to MSO 2007. I cannot access the calendar, etc. without setting up an email profile which my ISP will not allow using the email address. How can I use my calendar and other features without using Outlook email? I could use the calendar on previous versions without setting up an email account. |

Why can't you use Outlook w/o a mail profile? What happens when you try?

Set up Outlook, either without a mail profile at all (just read the dialogs, there are options to avoid creating mail) or by entering bogus information then later removing it. Outlook works well as a calendar, contact list and task list without email. |

It's a win-win for the ISP, they get to show ads to attempt to pull in a bit more revenue, along with the reduced support costs of having to support buggy mail clients and users who can't manage to enter server information into their client and leave it alone. |

That's not what I consider "ISP will not allow using the email address" -
it's "isp only has web mail". Web mail can be as expensive for the isp. For this reason, several isp's dropped email completely and others have commercial agreements with yahoo, msn or gmail for email. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com/ Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Poll: What version of Outlook do you use? http://forums.slipstick.com/showthread.php?t=27072 "Dave Warren" wrote in message ...
