Hotmail Logon in Outlook Express

Whenever I click on a folder in Hotmail in Outlook Express, I bring up a
"Hotmail Logon" window with my user name and password. The "Remember
Password" box is checked but greyed out. How can I prevent this window from
always appearing?

Check under Outlook Express' menu, Tools/Accounts - Mail tab and double
click the Hotmail account. Then look and see if your password is properly
set there and the save password box checked.

If it's a Windows 2000 or XP computer with Outlook also installed, see if
this article applies:

Your password is not retained when Outlook 2000 is installed with the
Corporate or Workgroup option in Windows 2000 or Windows XP:

Yes, I am running IE7 B2P, in XP Home. I just uninstalled it and reverted to
IE6, and the problem cleared up. Thanks.

YW. The behavior you describe is a known & reproducible bug in IE7 B2P.
