One way to reduce spam being received at a website email link is to
encode the email address in javascript. This is beyond a lot of site-owners though who may have designed their site without manual coding. Does anyone know of a utility (or a simpler method) to change the contact email address on an existing site so auto-spammers are deterred please? |

Thanks Steve
I'll have to find from them how the site was designed in the first place On Wed, 5 Apr 2006 08:46:12 -0400, "Steve Cochran" wrote: Make an image of your email addres and post that. steve bookworm wrote in message .. . Thanks Bob
A lot of them are cures rather than prevention but I'll have a good look through On Wed, 5 Apr 2006 10:54:40 -0300, "AlmostBob" wrote: http://www.just****inggoogleit.com/search?query="protect+email+address+download" http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...wnload&meta = |

How about if you enter it in text instead of as a link?

The bots can read the text as an email address.

Not particularly. A lot of the bots know to remove that.

Not only that, but they read the source. I have email addresses in forms
only on my website and you have to click on the button on the form to show the email address, and they find them and spam me. steve "Tom [Pepper] Willett" wrote in message ...
