Turn off e-mail scanning in your anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer
of protection that eats up CPUs and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A/V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "peter" wrote in message ... i use tiscali broadband and in tool, accounts, mail, properties, servers i put in pop.tiscali.co.uk and smtp.tiscali.co.uk,press apply then ok. then send and recieve and emails come in fine the problem is when i switch of the computor then re start the pop.tiscali.co.uk has changed to 127.1.1.0 or somthing close to that and i cant recieve emails but they send ok it is anoying to have to re enter this pop.tiscali.co.uk everytime i switch on the computor, the same thing hapens to the email in the second user account Please can anyone help me out Regards Peter |

You're welcome.
I use AVG Free myself: http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/lng/us/tpl/v5 or: http://www.grisoft.com/doc/40/lng/ww When prompted, choose Custom Installation and *uncheck* e-mail scanning when you see the option. Norton, and McAfee, products are not Outlook Express friendly, and I don't know of any OE-MVP that would recommend using them. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "peter" wrote in message ...
