Messages not downloaded
Each time I peruse through the newsgroups - each one has a number by
it saying there are some unread - but no unread messages are showing. I go to view - current view - hide read messages - and there are no items to view. But list on the left still shows a number. Now I realise there is a message at bottom left that says (for example) 26 messages, 0 unread, 12 not downloaded. Why are some messages not downloading? As far as I know this has only been happening recently - help please. TIA Jackiemum |

Try OEtoolsget next headers, if that gets the messages then go to OEtoolsoptionsread and remove the checkmark from 'get ### headersapply. If that does not get them to d/l then you are seeing a situation that you have no control over, OE and the news server are out of sync, the excess number of messages that you see are known as 'ghost messages' and will go away eventually. -- Regards Steve.
