Send & receive won't dial up

I am helping a friend who has a dial up modem. She has just got a new machine
with XP and OE6.

The problem is, that the modem will dial up from IE6, it will dial up when
starting OE6 (unless i remove that tick), but if neither of those options
have been chosen, it will not dial up, when we click Send and Receive. We
just get the usual dialog box, showing there is no connection to the internet
and therefore we get connection errors to her e-mail account.

What do I need to change to get Send & Receive to work properly?

Thx in advance. AB

Send & receive won't dial up

Check your settings in Outlook Express at Tools, Accounts, Mail/News,
Properties, Connection for the mail account. Specify to always use the
desired dial-up connection there.
