CK Courtesy of Michael Santovec - If a thread is very deep, the References: header gets too long. Unlike some other news readers, OE does not know how to trim the line. The one workaround in OE is to start a new thread. Another workaround is to start the post, then do a File, Save As to an NWS file. Edit the NWS file in Notepad and manually trim the References line (i.e. remove all but the first and last entries) then save the file, double click it from the Windows File Explorer to open and complete the post. -- Kath Adams MS MVP - Windows (Outlook Express) |

One note on this: The recent OE security update that disables EML
templates from working, also disables this NWS workaround. Same issue, the X-Unsent: 1 header is being ignored. But the original poster is using SP1, so is still able to use the workaround. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Kath Adams" wrote in message ... chance wrote: Individual net, news server, I subscribe, refuses posting my news messages, saying: Outlook Express could not post your message.
