Note to a bcc receipient

Does anyone know if there is a way to send a note on a copy going to a bcc
recipient, just as you would on a paper copy?

Just send a separate email to that person, include the original text and the note.

Thanks, I have been doing that, just wondering if there was another way.

If you are sending a single message to multiple people, they all get
identical mail, including the TO and CC headers. The only way for one
person to get something different is to send them a different e-mail.
