The OS is XP Pro with OE6
If I go to toolsselect recipients all is well and what I consider to be my current address book is accessed. But, if I simply start typing the recipient's address, it tries to fill in an address that looks as if it is from a different address book. One clue is that my usual address book lists name in last name order and uses caps as the initial letter. The "rogue" book starts filling in names based on first name and they are often lower case. In an effort to find the this address book, I have tried doing a search on a name that was lower case, but none of the files located were address book files. Charlie |

Search for *.wab and include Hidden Files and Folders, or enable the hidden
folders first. In Windows XP, 2K & 3K, the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show Hidden Files and Folders under Start | Control Panel | Folder Options | View. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Charlie Bress" Here-I-am-at-the-last-moment.com wrote in message ...
