Although I have "Indent original text with" highlighting the "" and the box
ticked it does not appear in all replies. Some it does - some it doesn't. Have I missed a setting? TIA Slatts |

If you normally use Plain Text, but are replying to an HTML message and have
Reply to messages in the format in which they were sent checked, you will be replying in HTML and the carat () is not an option. Check those settings. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Sla#s" wrote in message ... I've never come across "Quote Printable" before. (mine is set "none") Strange that on one has made a work around, it's very annoying it's not there when working with multiple replies to replies. (mine is set "none") Strange that on one has made a work around, it's very annoying it's not there when working with multiple replies to replies. There is a kind of quite clumsy workaround possible within OE: When you reply to a message encoded in quoted-printable and notice the missing reply characters, then: - Select Format/HTML. - Check View/Edit Source Text. - Notice the three tabs to the bottom of the composing window. - Select Preview. - Select Format/Plain Text. After this you should have reply characters added - but also to the attribution lines at the mail's beginning, which you should delete by hand to avoid confusion. ;-) Easier: Use OE-Quotefix from he http://home.in.tum.de/~jain/software/oe-quotefix/ Saludos Roland -- Probleme mit OE? They prefer evolving their own - erm - quality products further (direction unknown ;-) ). Thanks De nada. Saludos Roland -- Probleme mit OE? Hier gibt es die Lösungen: http://oe-faq.de!
