JPG in signature
I want to add a jpg into my signature. I created a file in Word with the
picture inserted and the text I wanted. I have tried saving it as a HTML, and other formats but I keep getting an error message when I compose the email (and I cannot see the picture) that the picture cannot be found. Suggestions? Christine |

An HTML signature cannot be larger than 4 KB in size. What size signature
are we talking about and are you aware you can only use a HTML signature in an HTML formatted message? It will never be applied to a Plain Text message. You have to use HTML formatting. Then create an HTML file for your signature including a reference to the image and save the HTML file to a location on your hard drive: HTML BODY IMG src="file://c:\myimages\myimage.jpg" /BODY /HTML Make sure the full and complete path to the image is included as the src. I did not find a "signature" file created in Word to be compatible with Outlook Express. Jim offers a very helpful answer. The picture could be larger than 3-4 KB if it is not part of the message file. The path to a picture file in a Web folder could be used. Even so, the picture should not be too much larger for everyday mailings. Also, many people block HTML content.
