Attachment applications
I have a situation where clicking on an attachment in Outlook Express results
in an error message that indicates that "OE cannot launch application" regardless of the attachment. This has only happened after installing eTrust software. The OE security options are not blocking attachments. It seems that something is preventing the underlying application from opening. Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks! |

And what did eTrust have to say when you complained to them? There are many
programs that setup conflicts with the operation of Outlook Express so when you install one that appears to do so, the first thing to do is uninstall it and reboot the computer and test to see if it really was the problem. If so, they you have to decide to either live with it, ask the provider to fix it or search for some type of workaround (which may not exist). When posting a question to a newsgroup for help, it's wise to include some basic information as to your operating system, what version of the faulting program is shown in the Help/About screen for that program and what steps, if any, you've taken to fix the problem.
