how can i re-install outlook express without deleting everything?

May I ask why you feel you should. Whatever is wrong may have an easier fix.
The following will reinstall without any lose of data, but it is always a good idea to back up OE on a regular basis as a loss of messages can happen anytime for many reasons. Backup & Resto http://www.insideoe.com/backup/ How to Reinstall or Repair IE6 and OE6: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=318378 Although written for WinXP, it works for all Windows operating systems 98 or newer. If you are using WinXP/SP2, and it was not already on your computer from the factory, you will have to remove SP2 first. Did you just install this patch: www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#14? If so, try
uninstalling it and see if that fixes the problem. There is a known issue of this patch causing those errors. Otherwise, post back. steve "Fagert" wrote in message ...
