How do I share emails between two computers?
 

I have a desktop computer running Windows XP and Outlook Express. I have a
laptop that uses the same. My desktop will be out of commission for awhile
due to repairs. How do I set it up so that I can get the emails sent to my
laptop?

How do I share emails between two computers?
 

Create the same accounts that you had on your Desktop on your laptop. You
can export all the needed info from the Desktop as IAF files for import into
the laptop, by opening Outlook Express, clicking Tools/Accounts and click
the Export button for each account you wish to transfer the information for.

This isn't making any sense to me. I want to synchronize my address book and
email messages that are on one computer to another. I guess I don't
understand your instructions.

How do I share emails between two computers?
 

There is no easy synchronize function between computers. What you can do is
a backup/restore operation between computers. The procedures for that are
outlined at this link:

My earlier post was how to transfer the account information only. If you
want the messages, you need to backup the message store on one machine and
import it into the other all of which is outlined in the link above. For
the addresses, you need to copy your WAB file from one computer and import
it into the other.

go to tools on OE and select your email account. on the advanced internet
email settings, check the box that says leave a copy of messages on the
server. Do this on both computers. Then the email will remain on the server
until you log on and delete it online, but you will be able to get the same
messages to both computers.
