an identity has a virus - can I delete it the folder?
I have found a virus on my system. It is in one of the identity folders
located C:\Documents and Settings\homer\Application Data\Identities\{8F1A6740-540C-11D4-9A6C-8CD4A03E625B}\Microsoft\Outlook Express\Sent Items.dbx=(message 51). When I go to Tools Options Maintenance and click on Store Folder it is not the identity that comes up. I use only one identity in OE. When I go to C:\Documents and Settings\homer\Application Data\Identities there are 11 different folders. I have backed up the folder that comes up in the Store folder box. Can I just delete these others? |

1. Once you've identified your identity in C:\Documents and
Settings\homer\Application Data\Identities (and I suggest you write down the address), yes, you may Delete the others. 2. Now see http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/faqs/how.htm#delnopass. Ignore the title and Delete the Registry keys for all but *your* identity. -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE/OE, Shell/User, Security), Aumha.org VSOP, DTS-L.org homer wrote: I have found a virus on my system.
