I keep getting returned mail when I have not sent an email. They perport to
come from "Mail Delivery System" or "Mailer-Daemon" or "Mail Delivery Subsystem". They are sent to the correct second part of my address, after the @ but with an infinite variety of character proceeding the@. I am getting more than 20 of these returns each day. Is this some sort of "Scam"? My Outlook Express is :6.00.2900.2180 (xpsp_rtm****) Thank you in advance for any assistance you can give me. Cheers Matthew McG UK |

Its either direct spam or messages coming from servers that were sent
messages purportedly from you, but where the email address was faked as coming from you. You can use message rules to filter out a lot of them by setting up a rule that if the message was not to your email account address, then move it to a junk folder. Or set up a rule that if the message is to your specific account, stop processing more rules and then set up a rule at the end that will move all messages besides those caught by the rule to a junk folder. see also www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#9 steve "Matthew McG" wrote in message ... A spammer or a virus is using your email address.
Unless you want to get a new email address, just delete the emails without opening them. -- Ron Sommer "Matthew McG" wrote in message ... I keep getting returned mail when I have not sent an email.
